CrossFit and I have had quite the history throughout every twist and turn in life! Starting in 2009, I was a undersized freshmen going into Woodinville High School. I started at CrossFit Chateau as a means to improve my overall strength & athletic ability for Baseball/Football. My competitive nature stirred as CrossFit began to be what I looked forward to the most after school. After one year of college baseball at Pacific University, I was struck with a shoulder injury and could no longer compete. Hanging up the cleats was hard, but it eventually drove me to pursue CrossFit with a redefined intent when I transferred to Washington State University. It was in 2013 that I began coaching at CrossFit Chateau during the summers and WSU CrossFit during the school year. When I began coaching, my true passion for CrossFit deepened through helping others accomplish their fitness goals both physically and emotionally. I then became head coach of our WSU CrossFit affiliate and graduated with a B.A. in Business Management my senior year. Since then, I’ve coached the past few years at multiple gyms in Texas, Pennsylvania, and now full circle back at CrossFit Chateau again. While coaching at CrossFit Strong in Dallas, Texas, I qualified for the 25 & Under/Uni Nationals in Olympic Lifting and competed in Utah for the 85kg men’s division. It was also during this time in Texas that I met my bride to be, through you guessed it, CrossFit! Besides the competitive nature of CF and helping others accomplish their goals, the unique community surrounding affiliate’s like CrossFit Chateau is what keeps me coming back for more. Outside of the gym, I work in the tech space for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and travel quite often around the beautiful PNW!
If I’m not coaching the Sunday AM classes, you can find me filling in for classes during the week or participating in one myself! I’m also very partial to anything with a barbell ;) so come up and introduce yourself, let’s get to work!
